Muller: Bayern player will win Ballon d'Or

Thomas Muller believes there is nothing standing in the way of a Bayern Munich player winning the Ballon d'Or this year.

Six of the Bavarians’ stars have been nominated in the list after their treble-winning 2012-13 season — Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Philipp Lahm, Manuel Neuer and Muller himself.

Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo remains the favourite though. Muller said: “There are six Bayern nominees. We’ve been awarded on our performances last year. Nothing stands in the way of a Bayern player (winning).”
