Earlier on Sunday, the fifth ODI was cancelled due to unplayable pitch conditions. Even the fiasco now has put a big question mark on the four games the Ferozeshah Kotla is scheduled to host for the 2011 World Cup.
Sources said the BCCI will not reinstate the Grounds and Pitches Committee which the board on Sunday had disbanded with immediate effect.
"The BCCI has disbanded its Grounds and Pitches Committee with immediate effect," a one-line statement issued by BCCI secretary N Srinivasan had said.
