New Delhi: Kings XI Punjab mentor Virender Sehwag advised the IPL team to bring in Indian pacer Ishant Sharma after he went unsold at the IPL 2017 auction.
However, Virender Sehwag did not take much time to get back to his usual banter of cricketers when in a tweet he poked fun at Ishant Sharma after welcoming him into the KXIP outfit.
Welcoming the Hairy&Slightly distorted Burj Khalifa @ImIshant to the @lionsdenkxip family.Plz Welcome him by making such a face wherever u r pic.twitter.com/zThZP8IUdW

Ishant Sharma took it with a pinch of salt and replied to Virender Sehwag.
Thanks paaji !!! And first you have to make the same expression tomorrow in the practice session ðÂÂÂu00c2u009fÂÂÂu00c2u0098ÂÂÂu00c2u009c https://t.co/hTZTPtC9sq

Viru then took no time to shoot down Ishant Sharma's joke with another witty tweet.
That's the difference Burj Khalifa ji.We have to "Make" that expression. Making that expression itself is a practice session. https://t.co/kly3oG3G8x

It will be a massive boost to his Twenty20 career after the setback at the players' auction. Currently, India's senior-most pacer in the Test squad (77 matches), Ishant went unsold due to his high base price of R2 crore.
"A couple of days back, Viru bhai called up and asked if I am free. That's how it worked out," Ishant told PTI after his first training session with the team.
