Mike Horn might not have played enough cricket, but has watched more matches than the Indian players, the motivational speaker's wife Cathy says.
"Horn has not played the game, but has great love for it. He may have watched more matches than any of the Indian players and we hope his knowledge about the game would certainly help the team to lift the World Cup," Cathy Horn told MiD DAY from Switzerland.
Cathy said that Horn was invited to help the Indian team by mental conditioning coach Paddy Upton. "Paddy and Mike studied at the same University in South Africa and that is how his name had been recommended to (coach Gary) Kirsten," she said.
Interestingly, 44-year-old Horn's first interaction with the members of the Indian cricket team happened about a year ago in Kolkata. "Hope India reaches the final and if so, Horn will be with them till the World Cup final," Cathy said.
Yuvraj Singh, India's man in form, was among the players who were most impressed by Horn. "Mike Horn, what a legend! Don't think anyone can be more inspiring and motivating! The man who made impossible possible," Yuvraj Singh had tweeted about him.
