Ton-up Dashrath Chavan helped Al-Barkaat Malik MI English School (Kurla) win by 113 runs against IES School (Bandra) during Round 4 of the Harris Shield tournament at Parsee Gymkhana yesterday. Al-Barkaat notched up 245-7 in their 45 overs thanks to Dashrath (101*) who rescued his team after they were reeling at 96-5. The hard hitting batsman showed a lot of patience while at the crease, slowly helping his team pile up the much-needed runs. Opener Nisar Shaikh contributed a handy 42 while leg-spinner Aryan Desai grabbed 3-52 in eight overs for the Bandra outfit.

Anurag battles for 48
When the Bandra team came out to chase down their target, they played defensive shots and only managed 132-6 in the allotted 45 overs. Anurag Nayar (48 not out) tried to take his team home but ultimately there were too many runs to get in the end. Left-arm spinners Saud Mansoori and Naufil Rozani picked up three and two wickets respectively.
Rishi Shah shines
At Islam Gymkhana, Rishi Shah's 96 along with a good bowling performance of 3-23 coupled with Supresh Mugade's 56 helped Swami Vivekanand International School (Kandivali) beat by IES VN Sule Guruji English School (Dadar) by 79 runs.
