Reason: Kolkata's first passion — football — is likely to pip cricket with some former international football stars involving themselves in an exhibition tie at the Salt Lake Stadium this afternoon.


Former World Cup stars Rene Higuita, Dunga, Bebeto, Roberto Carlos, Juninho, Mauro Silva, Aldair and others will take part in a match between Giants of Brazilu00a0and an Indian XI. Goalkeeperu00a0Higuita will play for theu00a0Indian side.u00a0Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) is expecting a lowu00a0turn-out today. Interestingly, the Brazilian stars are expected to visit Eden Gardens to witness Day Four action of the cricket Test.


Caution for Compton


The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has cautioned opener Nick Compton after the batsman showed dissent following his leg-before dismissal off Pragyan Ojha on Day Two. Compton showed his bat after he was given out by the umpire on Thursday. It is learnt that the ECB has asked Compton to keep his emotions in check and not resort to such gestures in future.
