Barely two weeks after the Wankhede Stadium pitch fiasco that saw South Africa blasting 438 runs in 50 overs against India in the deciding match of the five-ODI series, there came another run bath.

The Ranji Trophy match between Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh ended in a tame draw yesterday with over 1,100 runs scored in four days. Hence, it was decided yesterday to move Mumbai's November 15 tie against Railways to the Bandra Kurla Complex ground.

Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) Joint Honorary Secretary Dr PV Shetty confirmed the shift in venue. The Mumbai team management, it is learnt, was not happy that the wicket didn't assist any of the bowlers during the UP match.

Mumbai, who are playing five home matches in the league, are keen to cash in on the home advantage. Mumbai managed an outright win over Punjab (at Wankhede) and Tamil Nadu (at BKC), but got only three points against Uttar Pradesh despite posting 610-9 declared in the first innings.

Mumbai had scripted a fine turnaround against Tamil Nadu where they won the match despite conceding the first innings lead.
