As Salman Butt and Co are battling credibility, there is no shortage of public angst over the spot fixing controversy which their cricket heroes are reportedly to be involved in on their tour of England.

It is learnt that there are huge fears of the enraged public destroying the players' homes just like they did when Pakistan were beaten by India in the 1996 World Cup quarter-final.

Wasim Akram had opted out of that game held at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore owing to injury and India ended up winning.

Meanwhile, experts from Pakistan's federal investigation agency will be in England and work with Scotland Yard to probe cricket's biggest scandal.

In Lahore, die-hard cricket lovers staged a demonstration and took with them around 40 donkeys who had names of the tainted cricketers painted on them. It is reported that the protesters chanting slogans against captain Butt and his team members.
