Dinesh Chandimal takes charge of Sri Lanka as they bid to avenge their recent one-day loss to Zimbabwe in today's Test.
Chandimal was thrust into the spotlight as Test captain on Wednesday after Angelo Mathews resigned in the wake of his side's shock 3-2 loss to Zimbabwe. He has little time to familiarise himself with his new role before the one-off Test against the same opponents at the R Premadasa Stadium, which begins today.
Chandimal's elevation to the captaincy means Niroshan Dickwella may keep wicket. Zimbabwe, who will be playing their first Test in Lanka since 2002, could grant a debut to batsman Tarisai Musakanda.
