A British bodybuilder says eating a brick of fat improves his body’s functioning

Butter is only one part of 28-year-old Jonathan Griffiths’ aggressive eating plan. The Dorset resident puts Rocky Balboa to shame by scarfing down 1.5 grams of meat, half a litre of raw milk, 4 grams of cheese, and four eggs a day. “I’m quite a heavy chap—I need a lot of food,” he explained.

Griffiths, who dodges fruits and vegetables like they’re the black plague, found the carnivore diet on YouTube in 2020 and never looked back. It’s more eating to function rather than eating for enjoyment… I still enjoy food but I don’t have that craving,” Griffiths said, adding that he doesn’t “get hangry anymore.”
Years ago, when he was a young bodybuilder at 14, Griffiths endured a rugby-induced spinal injury that led to spondylolisthesis, a condition that occurs when bones within the vertebra slide out of their proper positioning. He had a spine fusion procedure in December 2022 and claims his special eating habits are helping him through the recovery. “Anyone experiencing any health issues should have started this diet yesterday,” he shares. Additionally, he says, the special diet also helps ward off cravings. Griffiths used to feel “guilty and sluggish” after a chocolate bar.
Instead, he’ll now enjoy a “butter bite” snack by melting down a “brick of butter” and freezing it. He’ll eat it later and pretend its chocolate—even putting it into fun and festive molds. Griffiths says he undergoes blood tests often to ensure he’s not developing issues from his unusual eating regime.
This latte is spicy!
A coffee shop in China whips up a mean chilli latte
Jingshi, a small coffee shop in China launched its now-famous hot ice latte back in December, as a tribute to Jianxi Province’s famously fiery cuisine, but the drink proved a big hit and the café is now selling it at a rate of 300 cups per day. Viral videos doing the rounds on Douyin (China’s version of TikTok), show café pouring the lattes in plastic cups before infusing them with dried chilli and topping off the drink with chilli powder.
Those brave enough to have tried it claim that it is a bit more spicy than regular lattes, but definitely not unpleasant. The people of Jianxi Province consume the hottest food in all of China, so the new hot ice latte is definitely at home there, but there are still many locals who don’t dare try the unusual beverage.
“It is creative, but I dare not try it because I fear it might upset my stomach,” one person said. “I guess there might be back-end issues after consuming the spicy stuff,” someone else jokingly commented. The new chilli-infused ice latte costs 20 yuan (Rs 233) and is expected to become a permanent fixture on the Jingshi Coffee menu.
I’m allergic to water—it’s a struggle every day
Kimberlee Mills, a Texas resident, revealed she’s allergic to water and how difficult it is to even take a shower. “It’s just one of the most uncomfortable experiences,” Mills confessed online. In a one-minute TikTok clip posted on February 2, she explained her daily hygiene routine can be filled with agony due to her body’s aversion to water. “I was diagnosed with aquagenic urticaria, and basically what that means, whenever my skin gets in contact with any form of water, including my own sweat… I get hives, it itches and burns, and there’s no cure,” the Houston, Texas, resident revealed.
Mummified monkeys
A passenger returning to Boston from a visit to Africa reported that his luggage contained dried fish, but an inspection at Boston Logan Airport revealed dead and dehydrated bodies of four monkeys that he brought for his own consumption, agents said.

Egg-citing news!
In 2010, four eggs were uncovered in England, which were around two millennia old. Three cracked during excavation, but a single egg survived. Recently, a scan has revealed that this egg still contains liquid inside it.

TikTok user Mandy was kicked out of the gym for wearing Shein leggings. “Men tell me to ‘cover up’ but their outfits are worse,” she claimed. She was stunned because there was barely any flesh on show and thought the accusation was hypocritical, because she has seen guys wearing far worse outfits. Nevertheless, men have seen fit to tell Mandy to “cover up,” in one of her posts. They were sincere requests and with no irony intended. Mandy is a popular figure on TikTok. She shares her love of working out on her platform with her usual wardrobe—a pair of leggings and a top.
