Take 'Indian aggression' seriously: Pakistan leader

Islamabad: Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah has expressed concern over "growing Indian aggression" against Pakistan and urged the government to effectively raise the issue at international forums, media reported on Friday.

He criticised the ministry of foreign affairs for its alleged failure to take up the issue of India's continuing "interference" in Pakistan with the international community, Dawn online reported. "Indian aggression along the country's borders is on the rise day by day. Pakistan should ask the world to look at what India has been doing," he said in a statement issued on Thursday.

The opposition leader's remarks comes ahead of the national security adviser (NSA)-level talks between the two countries to be held on August 23 in New Delhi. According to report, Shah, who belongs to the main opposition Pakistan Peoples Party, said India in recent days had become "active" in its efforts to "destabilize" Pakistan, adding that it was time for the civil and military leadership of the country to sit together to devise a strategy to deal with the Indian designs.
