When the widely popular Queen Elizabeth II passes the crown to her heir, people in Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom would rather see 29-year-old William wearing it over his father, according to an Angus Reid Public opinion poll released on Thursday.

Prince William has surpassed his grandmother to become the most popular member of the Royal Family, with 83 per cent of Australians, 82 per cent of Britons and 77 per cent of Canadians saying he ranks first in their opinion.
