Washington: One of Osama bin Laden's sons went missing in the midst of the US Navy SEALs' raid that eliminated the dreaded terrorist in his Abbottabad hideout more than a week ago, according to the slain al-Qaeda chief's three wives who are in the Pakistani custody. Hamza bin Laden, known as the "crown prince of terror," has not been seen since the operation on May 2, raising fears that he may have evaded capture.

The women said that Hamza has not been seen since the May 2 raid, unnamed Pakistani officials were quoted by an american news channel as saying. The son was not identified, but Pakistani investigators agreed that it appeared that someone was missing from the sprawling compound.

'Why no trial?'
Meanwhile, Osama's fourth eldest son, Omar bin Laden, has denounced the al Qaeda leader's killing as 'criminal' and said he and Osama's other sons reserve the right to take legal action against America. Omar's statement has appeared on an Islamist website where he branded his father's burial at sea as a 'humiliation' for his family.
Omar (30), who is married to a British woman 25 years his elder, has been based in the Gulf in recent years.

Omar'su00a0 statement also includes the denunciation of US actions by Osama's other sons, whou00a0 condemned the "arbitrary killing" of their father and demanded a UN investigation on the circumstances that led to his death, as they asked why the al-Qaeda chief was "not arrested" and tried in a court to reveal the truth.
They accused the US of violating its basic legal principles by killing an unarmed man, shooting his family members and disposing of his body in the sea.
