BlackBerry's instant messenger service BBM has finally hit Apple''s iOS and Android devices with its official launch being announced on the blog for users
According to CBS News, those who have signed up for the application on the official site will be able to use the application immediately, and even those who haven''t signed up till now, can download the app to be on the waiting list.

The report further added that BBM users in waiting will get an e-mail with information about when they can start using the service.
BlackBerry revealed on their site that six million people signed up for information on the application.
Even with market demand for BB dropping, the BBM continues to be a popular platform globally, particularly in emerging markets where cheap and older BlackBerrys are still in demand, the report added.
