I have been reading about the various traffic rules implemented by the police, but why have they not thought about implementing any rules for pedestrians who walk on the road.

Fine wayward pedestrians too

I have been reading about the various traffic rules implemented by the police, but why have they not thought about implementingu00a0 any rules for pedestrians who walk on the road.

They too should be fined for walking on the roads instead of the footpaths and obstructing traffic and crossing the road when the pedestrian traffic light is red.

Why waste money putting up pedestrian lights when no follows them? They too should be made to pay up the same way motorists are fined for breaking a signal and flouting other traffic rules.

I am sure that Mumbai's traffic department can earn more revenue by penalising such pedestrians than they do from erring motorists.
