As per a report in The Times of India, the incident was reported from a village in Tarikere taluk of Chikkamagaluru district in Karnataka. Two brothers, Ashok and Naveen, were about to get married at the same venue and at the same time. Even though Naveen and his bride Sindhu enjoyed the pre-wedding rituals a day before, when the D-day arrived, Naveen disappeared.
The reason was that Naveen’s girlfriend had threatened him to drink poison in front of everyone in his marriage and to save himself from the situation, Naveen fled away from the mandap to meet his girlfriend in Tumakuru.
While Sindhu and her family were heartbroken, her family decided to get her married then and there and started looking at the guests present in the hall for a suitable match. A guest named Chandrappa, who works as a BMTC conductor, agreed to marry Sindhu and once everyone agreed, Chandrappa and Sindhu got married in the same venue.
