In bizarre news, a beggar from Bihar uses QR codes and e-wallets to ask for money. Yes, you have read it right.

The beggar, identified as Raju Prasad, hails from Bihar's West Champaran district certainly uses innovative methods when it comes to begging. He also claims to be India's first digital beggar.

Prasad roams the streets of Bihar with all types of QR codes and e-wallets such as Google Pay, Phone Pe and Paytm seeking help.  According to Jagran, "If you don't have a change in coins, don't worry. You can pay me through Phone Pe or any other e-wallet. Now I have availed the facility of digital payment," said Prasad.

"I faced a survival crisis as a majority of people came with the excuse that they didn’t have a loose change. They would say they aren’t required to carry cash or coins in this digital age. So, I finally opened a bank account and created e-wallets," adds Prasad.

Prasad wears a digital payment system around his neck and has now opened an account at the State Bank of India. So, people who want to pay him can directly scan the QR code and send money to his bank account.

However, local villagers and passengers still offer him coins in his begging bowl.
