LONDON: World’s longest ‘dinosaur fossilised faeces’, which is 40 inches long and around 5.3 to 33.9 million years old, is set to get auctioned. The dung, which was found in Washington States, is expected to reach 4,700 pounds to 5,800 pounds at the auction.

Josh Chait, the spokesman for the auctioneer in Beverly Hills, said that the spectacular specimen was possibly the longest example of coprolite — fossilised dinosaur faeces ever to be offered at auction, presented in four sections, each with a heavy black marble custom base.
He further added that the object had a superbly “even, pale brown-yellow colouring” and really detailed texture to the “botryoidal surface.”
Meanwhile, selections of five stool-shaped specimens, possibly from a Miocene turtle around 23.03 to 5.332 million years old, are also for sale and are estimated to sell for 2,300 pounds to 3,500 pounds.
