This duck is special and a very cute one at that. Daniel the duck is no ordinary bird, it provides a special service. Daniel is an emotional support duck for a passenger who is worried about flying.
Daniel's owner is scared of flying. The entire time on the flight, Daniel was quietly quacking and the owner was 'kissed him' on his beak several times.
The incident was tweeted by author Mark Essig who took pictures of the duck on his flight from Charlotte, North Carolina, to Asheville.
