Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has announced a series of commitments should the Congress-led alliance come to power. Addressing a gathering, Gandhi pledged to fill all government vacancies and extend the age limit to 40 years. He also promised to regularize daily wage workers, making them permanent and improving their income. Emphasizing inclusivity, Gandhi assured that the government would work to respect and incorporate all voices in Jammu and Kashmir. Highlighting his appreciation for the region`s beauty and people, he expressed a desire for a longer visit. Gandhi reiterated the alliance’s priority of restoring statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, criticizing the BJP for their approach of holding elections before addressing statehood. He vowed that the INDIA alliance would press for statehood, regardless of BJP opposition, ensuring it becomes a reality for the people of J&K.
