Folk tales
Be a part of the play -- Coat Tales, directed by Pauline Furlong. It is about five Indian folk tales from different traditions which have been re-told, to create a play about how a boy becomes a storyteller. The stories are woven with songs, dance and music to create a seamless piece of theatre containing humour, suspense, pathos and valour.

Taiwan Film Festival
Catch the Taiwan Film Festival where the films reflect the quality, range, and vitality of contemporary Taiwanese filmmaking. Their films have won accolades around the globe. The purpose of holding these activities is to promote and develop better understanding of Taiwan amongst Indians.


September 11, 3 pm: I can't Live Without You: Based on real life characters, the film is the sensitive story of a father and his seven-year-old daughter who face separation due to bureaucratic red tape.
6 pm: Cape No 7: Aga - a band singer, Tomoko - a Japanese model, together with other five ordinary Hengchun residents form an impossible band.


September 12, 3 pm: Yang Yang: The film is a French-Chinese mix and depicts how Yang-yang dealt with her life, her relationships with men, with her mother and friends.
6 pm: Blue Brave - The Legend of Formosa: It tells the story of the resistance against the Japanese invasion in 1895 (the biggest war in Taiwan's history).


September 13, 3 pm: Our Dreams Our Island: The film tells stories of soldiers stationed in the Kinmen island (near the mainland China) in the 1970s, who were forbidden to date local girls.
6 pm: The Wall: Set in the 1950s during the oppressive White Terror period, tells the story of a glassblower who tries to protect a socialist revolutionary.
