The former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, was born on November 19, 1917. Born into a politically influential Indian family, former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi played a significant role in shaping the future of India.


She is the first female Prime Minister of India. Her leadership qualities have made her a prominent figure in India. 


Indira Gandhi was also known as the 'Iron Lady of India.' On October 31, 1984, the Indian Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, met her untimely demise, as a victim of assassination by two of her Sikh bodyguards.
