After a night halt in Tundi block of the district on Saturday, Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra resumed at Govindpur in Dhanbad city on Sunday.
"The youth of Jharkhand, fed up with unemployment, are saying that jobs are being eliminated from every sector. People have become dependent on food. Modi government completely became Adani's government. The only option for the country is Rahul Gandhi," the official handle of Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra posted on X ahead of Rahul's visit to the state earlier.
Congress MP Jairam Ramesh said, "Today, we are in Dhanbad and we will be going to Bokaro," reported PTI.
He said that Bokaro is a steel city.
"These are the monuments built by (former Prime Minister) Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. When people say what we did in 70 years... Bhilai, Rourkela, Durgapur, Bhakra Nangal, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Barauni, Sindri - these are all monuments to India's economic development", Ramesh said.
Jharkhand Congress vice-president Brajendra Prasad Singh said Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra which started from Govindpur, will pass through Saraidhela, IIT-ISM gate, Randhir Verma Chowk, Shramik Chowk near the railway station and reach Bank More where he will address a public rally, reported PTI.
Thereafter, it will proceed towards Bokaro Steel City. After the launch break in Bokaro, the yatra will again start from Jena More around 2 pm. Gandhi's night halt is scheduled in Ramgarh district on Sunday, reported PTI.

Accusing the BJP of spreading hatred and inciting violence, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, on Saturday, said the grand old party and its allies will open 'Mohabbat Ki Dukaan' (shops dealing in love) across the country, reported ANI.
The Wayanad MP, after resuming the ongoing Jharkhand leg of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, from Sarkanda Chowk here, said the Congress's fight was against the hatred in the hearts of the 'BJP people'.
"The BJP is spreading hate. We undertook a 4000-km Bharat Jodo Yatra against this hatred and violence, coining the slogan 'Nafrat Ke Bazaar Me Mohabbat Ki Dukkan'. No matter how much hatred they (BJP) spread or the violence they orchestrate, the Congress and its allies will open 'Mohabbat Ki Dukan' all over the country. Our fight is against the hatred in the hearts of the BJP people," Rahul Gandhi said while addressing a gathering, reported ANI.
