Grisly videos have emerged showing stray dogs eating human corpses at Kedar Ghat on the banks of river Bhagirathi in Uttarkashi, Uttrakhand. Locals said parts of bodies, some of them half burnt, had drifted onto the bank after a rise in Bhagirathi’s water level due to rainfall over the past few days.

Another local said there is a possibility that the bodies are of Covid-19 patients who had been cremated.
Municipality chief Ramesh Semwal said they have assigned a person at Kedar Ghat to cremate the bodies. “During the past few days, number of deaths has been increased in our area.”
Previously, large number of bodies were found floating in the river Ganga in UP and Bihar.
