Seven persons have died in rain-related incidents as unseasonal showers lashed parts of Marathwada in Maharashtra in the last two days, an official said on Monday, reported the PTI.

As per a report shared by the divisional commissionerate, unseasonal rains were witnessed in Beed, Dharashiv, and Latur districts of Maharashtra in last 48 hours.
Crops on 24.3 hectares of land were destroyed, and 53 animals have died in these districts due to rains, the report stated, as per the PTI.
Three deaths were reported in Latur, while Beed and Dharashiv saw two casualties each, it said.
More than 700 houses were damaged in the rains over the weekend, the report stated.
Three killed in lightning strikes and tree collapse in Latur
At least three persons were killed in lightning strikes and tree collapse incidents in Latur district of Maharashtra on Sunday evening, officials said, reported the PTI.
Two buffaloes were also killed in separate incidents after they were struck by the bolt from the sky.
Shivaji Gomchale (35) and Om Laxman Shinde (30) were killed in lightning strikes in Mahalangi village at around 4 pm, an official said, according to the PTI,
Baliram Hanmante (35), a resident of Panchincholi in Nilanga lost his life after a mango tree fell on him amid strong winds.
Three persons die after lightning strikes in Telangana
Meanwhile, in an another incident last week, at least three persons lost their lives in separate incidents after lightning struck them in Vikarabad district of Telangana last Sunday, the police said, reported the PTI.
The incidents took place in two villages in Yalal mandal of Vikarabad district of Telangana when it was raining, the officials said, as per the PTI.
Two persons died after being struck by lightning in an agricultural field while another man, who was standing under a tree, died in another lightning strike, they said.
The deceased were aged between 26 to 40, police said, according to the PTI.
The Met Centre of Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in Telangana has forecast that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (30-40 KMPH) are very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvangiri,
Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Medak, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy in Telangana on Sunday.
