Maharashtra government announces HSC, SSC board examination dates

The SSC exams are scheduled to be held between April 29 to May 31, 2021, and the result will be declared in the last week of August.

The Maharashtra State Board Examination, on Thursday, declared dates for SSC and HSC examination. The HSC exam will be held between April 23 to May 29, 2021, and its result will be declared in the last week of July.


On the other hand, the SSC exams are scheduled to be held between April 29 to May 31, 2021, and the result will be declared in the last week of August. Along with dates for the written examination, even practical evaluation dates have also been declared. 


Amid the COVID-19 crisis, schools took to online classes, but what happens to board examinations has been a point of worry for examinees and their parents. While it was declared earlier that board exams will be held offline in traditional paper-pen format, everyone was wondering as to when the exams would be held. Today's announcement by Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad gives clarity to lakhs of SSC and HSC candidates in Maharashtra. 


Moreover, the practical assessment or oral examinations too will be held in school for board students. While for HSC these will be held between April 1-22, 2021, for SSC students it will be between April 9-28, 2021.
