In Amravati, Maharashtra, a truck collided with a tempo carrying members of a cricket team, killing four and injuring ten. The unfortunate occurrence occurred on Sunday morning at about 7:30 am in Shingnapur Phata, Nandgaon Khandeshwar taluka.

According to Superintendent of Police Vishal Anand, the tempo was driving 21 cricket team players from Amravati to Yavatmal for a tournament when it collided. Four people were pronounced dead on the site, while the injured were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment, reported PTI.

According to the report, the truck driver has been detained, and police are investigating the cause of the tragedy. The incident has saddened the local community, emphasising the necessity for road safety measures to prevent similar catastrophes in the future.

Meanwhile, a series of tragic accidents in Pune and Noida have left several individuals dead and injured, as reported by PTI.

A newly married woman, Radhika Ajay Mhaske (22), her father-in-law Raju Mhaske (52), and his brother-in-law Babasaheb Dhende (48), were killed after their automobile crashed with a moving truck on the Pune-Solapur road near Chincholi. Radhika's husband, Ajay Mhaske (26), and his sister, Kajal (23) were critically injured and transported to the hospital. The family, from Chinchwad in Pune, was on their way to Dharashiv city in Marathwada when the disaster occurred.

In Noida, a married couple, Ranjan Kumar (45) and Ruby (40), succumbed to injuries sustained in a collision between their motorcycle and a car at the Sector 31-25 intersection under Sector 24 Police Station limits.

Their daughter, Milky (5), was also injured and is undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Sector 71. The occupants of the car fled the scene, and the vehicle has been impounded by the police, the agency report added.

According to the report, both incidents have prompted investigations, with authorities working to determine the causes of the accidents. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and FIRs have been registered in both cases.

In another incident from earlier this year, five persons were grievously injured when a sports utility vehicle (SUV) collided with a truck on the Nashik-Mumbai highway in Maharashtra's Thane district.
