Writer and journalist Salil Tripathi’s Twitter account was restored by the micro-blogging website after being pulled down over a video of him reciting a poem about the 1992 Babri Masjid demolition and the 2002 Gujarat riots.

After his account was resumed he posted on Twitter, "I will have more to say later. I appreciate the support and love."

Tripathi had tweeted a video of himself reciting his poem, ‘My Mother’s Fault’, which had first appeared in his book, Offence: The Hindu Case – Manifestos for the 21st Century, published in 2009.
