Mahavir Narwal, a senior scientist and father of JNU student Natasha Narwal succumbed to Covid-19 on Sunday. Natasha was arrested in May last year in connection with the communal riots in north-east Delhi.


Many activists and members of the academia condoling his demise on Twitter.



Renowned journalist and researcher Pamela Philipose condoled Mahavir Narwal's death while slamming the 'criminal justice system'


Author and columnist Natasha Badhwar also condoled Mahavir Narwal's death

Student activist and politician Aishe Ghosh said that Natasha Narwal 'should be released immediately from jail'

Women's rights activist and CPIML politburo member Kavita Krishnan lashed out at the government in her condolence post
