“The crime occurred on June 17 after an employee reported to the courier company manager that a package had been missing since its arrival. Therapallai and Tawar stopped coming to work ever since the parcel disappeared. Initially, another employee of the company Manoj Parab, who had suddenly gone missing, was arrested on the basis of suspicion,” an official from Kurla police station said.

“We traced the location of Manoj Parab in Bihar and a team was despatched to arrest him,” he said. Investigation revealed that Parab was innocent and had left the job as he was fed up of working for the firm. Officials then detained Therapallai, a resident of Khar.
