Yogender Chandolia, the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) nominee for the North West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, held a roadshow on Monday before filing his nomination papers. Meanwhile, the Congress has nominated Udit Raj for the same position.

Chandolia used the chance to speak on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, saying, "Arvind Kejriwal is in jail, but people would not listen to him even when he comes out. "His game is over." Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21 in connection with a money laundering investigation into alleged anomalies in Delhi's excise policy 2021-22.

The third phase of voting for the North West Delhi Lok Sabha Constituency is slated for May 25, according to the Election Commission of India, which announced the date on March 16. This constituency consists of ten assembly segments and is one of Delhi's seven Lok Sabha seats.

Arvind Singh Lovely also resigned as Delhi Congress chief, citing his objection to an association with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He expressed concerns about the AAP's creation and its history of bogus corruption allegations against Congress. Lovely emphasised his incapacity to protect the interests of party workers during the collaboration.

"The Delhi Congress Unit was against an alliance with a party which was formed on the sole basis of levelling false, fabricated and malafide corruption charges against the Congress Party. Despite that, the Party made a decision to ally with the AAP in Delhi," Lovely wrote in his resignation letter.

Lovely, said that since he cannot protect the interests of the party workers, he sees no reason to continue in the said post.

The Congress, in cooperation with the AAP, is contesting three seats in Delhi, while the AAP has four candidates. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP candidate Hans Raj Hans won the seat, while Udit Raj of the BJP achieved the same in 2014.

The vote for all seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi will take place on May 25 during the sixth phase of the ongoing general elections, with the counting slated for June 4.
