A 35-Year-Oldu00a0woman from Nigdi was brought in a serious condition to the Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital (YCMH) after she consumed a heavy dose of anti-asthamatic Rota tablets. But the family is confused if this was a suicide attempt or an accident.
Around 10 pm yesterday, Mangal Gaikwad, who lives with her brother and mother at Nigdi, took a heavy dose of her daily tablets for her asthmatic condition. "She was sleeping when we saw that she started breathing heavily than usual. She was then brought to YCMH in a near unconscious state around 11.50 pm. We tried asking her what happened but she wouldn't give us a clear answer," said her mother Dhondabai Jadhav (65).

Medical officer on duty Dr Pakhale D said that the victim was stable and all the dangerous substances have been removed from her body.
