Though the death of senior Congress leader Arjun Singh made many political leaders stay away from the reception ceremony of Kanwar Singh Tanwar's son's wedding, Bollywood starlets Malaika Arora Khan, Zareen Khan and Jacqueline Fernandes entertained guests with their performances.u00a0u00a0

Malaika Arora Khan danced to the tunes of Munni Badnaam Hui, while Zareen jived to the beats of Sheela Ki Jawaani. Fernandes danced to the song Apni To Jaise Taise.

Though few politicians attended the reception, but leaders like Naveen Jindal, Rita Bahuguna Joshi and Oscar Fernandes were present. Haryana politician Kiran Chowdhury, BJP leader and son of former Delhi CM Sahib Singh Verma, Pravesh Verma and BJP MLA Karan Singh Tanvar also attended the function.

Media was not allowed to cover the event, though a few journalists were also invited by Tanwar as his guests. More than politicians, industrialists and businessmen attended the function in large numbers.

The Tanwars had booked both sides of Ashok Hotel's convention hall for the function. According to sources, female Russian bar tenders were serving drinks to guests.

"After huge media attention, Tanwar had changed many of his original plans but everything was top class. The guests didn't miss Shahrukh Khan, who was supposed to perform at the reception ceremony," said a guest requesting not to be identified. As per sources, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had sent his good wishes to the married couple.
