Vinod Tawade, Bhartiya Janata Party opposition leader in Vidhan Parishad lashed out at Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar saying that the Nationalist Congress Party is playing pressure politics.
Tawade was in the city to visit the various Ganpati mandals on the occasion of the Ganesh festival. Tawade said that along with Pawar, other leaders who are allegedly involved in this scam should be included in the inquiry.u00a0

“We don’t think that there would be mid-term elections in the state because Congress will anyhow manage to be in power and will complete its term,” Tawade said.

He added that as Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan had been looking into the matter and ordered the inquiry into the on going scams in the state, he might be replaced with any other leader, but mid-term elections would not be held.
Tawade also said that the allegation made against Pawar would not be cleaned only by giving resignation. “A detailed inquiry should be done in this regard and the white paper should immediately be tabled by the state government,” Tawade said.u00a0
