On Nov 13, the Supreme Court suspended till May next year demolition of the illegal flats in the Campa Cola Society minutes after the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) bulldozers, acting on another order of another apex court bench, moved in to pull down the flats.

The court said that the affected flat owners will give an undertaking within six weeks from Tuesday stating that they will vacate their flats by May 31, 2014.

The apex court added that the BMC will be free to proceed with against those who do not file the undertaking to comply with the May 31 deadline.u00a0
