A tenth-standard student killed himself by consuming poison as he was upset with his poor marks in school examinations.

A tenth-standard student studying in a government boarding and lodging school at Kollihills allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison, police said today.

The 15-year-old boy studying at the Aadidravidar residential school was reportedly upset over his poor marks in the school examinations.

The boy had returned after the Pongal festival holidays Thursday.u00a0
