United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa, the outfit's deputy commander-in-chief Raju Baruah and Rajkhowa's security guard Raja Bora were Saturday produced before an Assam court and remanded in 12 days judicial custody.

Rajkhowa, Baruah and Bora were produced before the Chief Magistrate's Court at 5.25 p.m.

While being taken to the courtroom, Rajkhowa refuted the Indian government's claim that he had surrendered.

"I have not surrendered and will never surrender," Rajkhowa told reporters.

All three were handcuffed while being taken to court.

On Friday, the ULFA chairman led a dramatic surrender before Indian authorities at Dawki in Meghalaya.

Among those who surrendered include Rajkhowa, his wife and two children, Baruah, his wife and child, Bora, and the wife of ULFA 'foreign secretary' Sasha Choudhury and their son.

The surrendered ULFA leaders and their family members were brought to Guwahati by a helicopter and lodged at the 4th fourth Assam Police Battalion headquarters in the city.

The wives and children of the militants were not arrested and no charges were framed against them, a police officer said.
