In two seperate incidents, two people were charred to death after their car caught fire

When the country's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India was launching new version of their compact car WagonR in two people charred inside the Maruti car in two separate incident in Delhi.
In the first incident the deceased was identified as Rakesh Bhatia (35) a resident of Karol Bagh and property dealer by profession.
At 11.30 am the fire department was informed about a man trapped inside a Maruti WagonR car (DL-9C-Y 0282) which was ablaze. Two fire tenders were rushed to the spot. However, the body was completely charred by the time firemen reached the spot.
According to the police, Bhatia spotted by the locals of Rohini lying unconscious inside the car with smoke coming out. The car was centrally locked.
"We have registered a case and we are investigating the reason behind the fire. The also ran on CNG fitted, which could have led to the fire." said a senior police official.
In another incident, an unidentified person said to be a resident of Sector 4 Ashok Vihar, died inside his Maruti 800 while he was coming from Keshav Puram. According to preliminary investigations, the paper of the car belonged to one Gulshan Mallik.
According to the police, the car was near the driver of the car lost balance and hit the divider because of which his the gate of his car got locked. The victim was rushed to near by hospital where he was declared dead.

Maruti Suzuki India on Friday relaunched its hatchback WagonR also known as The Blue-Eyed Boy. The New Maruti Wagon R boasts a 1.0 litre K Series engine joining the league with A-Star and Zen Estilo having the same engine. The K Series engine produces a power of 67 BHP and 10 Kgm of peak torque. The New Wagon R has been launched with three models LX, Lxi and Vxi. The top model is available with features like ABS, Airbags and stereo system installed in it. The New Wagon R is soon to launch a model supported by LPG with a price range of 3.3 Lakh to 4.5 Lakh. The new WagonR will have a Bharat Stage IV emission norms and will be produced from the company's Gurgaon facility. |
