New Delhi: A youth has been arrested and a minor has been apprehended for forcing a 17-year-old boy to drink acid here, police said on Friday.

The teenager was forced to drink acid by a group of persons on July 25, a day after a scuffle over shortage of paneer at a dairy store here.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Romil Baaniya told IANS that three persons, including the minor, have been held in the case so far and one more accused, Golu, is on the run.

The officer said that the arrested youth is 20 years old while the minor is 15 years of age. The victim is fit to talk at present and has named the accused persons, he added.
