According to fire officers, it took nearly 30 minutes to douse the fire that had been raging for almost 20 minutes before they reached the spot. Locals rushed the injured man to a hospital who was but he succumbed to his injuries.
"The driver and the cleaner are missing so we have no clues about how the fire broke out. We have just doused the fire and will conduct investigations," said a fire officer.
Meanwhile, traffic at Dive Ghat, the route that leads to Saswad from Pune, was affected for nearly 30 minutes.
