Sound of Insects (Peter Leichti, 2009):u00a0
A hunter in a remote and idyllic forest stumbles upon a makeshift tent made from sheets of plastic. It contains the mummified remains of a corpse. A detailed journal found on the site reveals that the man committed suicide by self-imposed starvation. Inspired by this true event and by the novella 'Until I Am a Mummy' by Shimada Masahiko, Sound of Insects evokes the mysterious man's last days.

Widely called Godard's masterpiece, Breathless is the story of small-time thief Michel Poiccard, who steals a car and murders the policeman who pursues him. Now wanted by the authorities, he renews his relationship with Patricia Franchini, an American studying at the Sorbonne, whom he had earlier met in Nice a few weeks earlier. As he gets caught in a web of underworld acquaintances and romance, Poiccard pursues his love of American movies the beautiful Franchini.

Army of Shadows (Jean Pierre Melville, 1969):
The film is set in France in 1942, during the occupation. Philippe Gerbier, a civil engineer, is one of the French Resistance's chiefs. Given away by a traitor, he is interned in a camp. He manages to escape, and joins his network at Marseilles, eventually succeeding in getting the traitor who exposed him, executed. What next?

Yuri Lennon's Landing on Alpha 46

After landing on Jupiter's moon Alpha46, cosmonaut Yuri Lennon is confronted with a paradox. Undocked from the mother ship, Yuri begins his starting journey through space, which leads him to the end of the world as we know it. This 15 minute film was canned in one shot.

Thirty-year-old Gr ufffdgoire has arranged to meet his fianc ufffde Anne and his future in-laws at a restaurant but arrives late. The atmosphere is tense by the time the food is served. Gr ufffdgoire feels uncomfortable and escapes to the restroom, where he happens to find a pistol with a silencer in the wastebasket. The ensuing drama could not be any more implausible or absurd.u00a0u00a0u00a0
Cartography the Pool
(Phillipe Saire, 2008):
This short film unfolds in a garden that was a wasteland in the centre of the city. Three dancers take over this space and carry out a topographical survey. Starting with a formal response linked to the architectural beauty of the place, they then drift towards the organic side of nature, which has been domesticated here.
