Bliss Art Gallery is showcasing the artworks by painter Pankaj Jha at the Blue Mystery art exhibition. The artworks have an abundance of bluish hues and subjects like mountains, fog, nightscape and stars.

This is the second time the gallery is exhibiting Pankaj's paintings. His previous exhibition was on trees. The painter also has an alternate identity -- as a Bollywood actor. "I don't know whether I juggle two careers.

I didn't realise that I had two careers to follow," he laughs. But its his basics that led him to choose this career. "I majored in art at Patna Art College and then came to Delhi where I got involved in professional acting."u00a0

About the overbearing presence of "blue" in his paintings, he says, " Blue is the colour of the third eye as well. I meditate and try to see which colour I could recall the most and it turned out to be blue."

The artist has acted in ad films as well as movies such as Company, Monsoon Wedding, Chameli, Hazaron Khwahishen Aisi, Black Friday, Gulal and Teen Patti. "I prefer to work in "real" movies and was lucky to work with such directors."

At Bliss Art Gallery, Koregaon Park.
