Ranchi: Three persons have died of swine flu in Jharkhand, state Health Minister informed the Assembly. Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi today said the victims had been residing outside the state and had returned to Jharkhand in critical condition.

The minister, however, did not give the exact dates on which the deaths occurred. All Sadar hospitals in the state have been provided with three types of medicine for treatment of the disease, he told the Assembly, where several opposition party MLAs were
seen wearing anti-flu face masks.
Speaker Dinesh Oraon had rejected an adjournment motion brought by Jharkhand Vikas Morcha MLA Pradip Yadav to discuss preventive measures being taken by the government in the wake of the outbreak of the disease.
Leader of opposition and JMM vice president Hemant Soren drew the attention of the House that the deaths were reported from Jamshedpur and Ranchi.
