The surgery has been successful,and Gandhi's condition is stable Dwivedi said.
A four-member teamu00a0-- Sonia Gandhi's son Rahul Gandhi, Defence Minister A.K. Antony, political secretary Ahmed Patel and Dwivedi himselfu00a0-- will oversee the party affairs in her absence, he added.
