Twenty eight schools in Maharashtra don't have even a single student on their rolls, School Education Minister Rajendra Darda informed the Legislative Council today.

In reply to a query by Manikrao Thakre (Congress) and others, the minister said there were less than 20 students each in 12,789 schools.
There are 54 schools in the state where there is just one student, the minister said. No school will be closed just because it does not have enough students, the minister assured the House
