The rupee on Wednesday appreciated by 2 paise to 45.69 a dollar in early trade in line with other firming Asian currencies.

Dealers said dollar's weakness against other Asian currencies and increased capital inflows by funds into equities, supported the Indian rupee's sentiment.

At the Interbank Foreign Exchange (Forex) market, the Indian rupee strengthened by 2 paise to 45.69 a dollar. The rupee had ended 38 paise lower at 45.71/72 yesterday.
