Ruchika case: Rathore's bail plea adjourned till June 29

The Punjab and High Court Friday adjourned till June 29 the bail plea and revision petition of former Haryana police chief S.P.S. Rathore, convicted for molesting teenager Ruchika Girhotra in 1990

Ruchika case: Rathore's bail plea adjourned till June 29

The Punjab and High Court Friday adjourned till June 29 the bail plea and revision petition of former Haryana police chief S.P.S. Rathore, convicted for molesting teenager Ruchika Girhotra in 1990.


The vacation bench of the high court Friday said the case would now be taken up by another appropriate bench on June 29. Till then, his bail plea would remain pending in the court.


Rathore was sentenced to 18 months rigorous imprisonment by the district and sessions court here May 25. He is currently lodged in the high-security Burail jail here.
