Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday slammed Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi saying that he was an expert in raising questions and not in answering any. Addressing the media here, Sitharaman further said that the Congress failed to form the image of a responsible Opposition.

"He is only good at raising question but never answers any. The Opposition is equally responsible to answer all the questions as the Centre. I think they have not understood the meaning of democracy in true sense," she said.
She further hit out at the Congress scion saying he only reads out the script during his speech. "He was asked certain questions by BJP President Amit Shah and Chief Minister Vijay Rupani Ji few days ago about Gujarat but he has not answered so far. It seems like he only reads the script written by his scriptwriter and does not even listen to questions," she added.
Slams Congress
Sitharaman also attacked the Congress, saying the party regularly makes statements that seek to "break the Army's morale and reduce its stature".
She rued leaders of the Sonia Gandhi-led party often speak the language of separatists and support those who talk about dividing the nation. "Before every election, the Congress has the habit of inflicting damage to itself (by making statements against Modi)," the Union minister said.
She referred to Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar's "chai-wala" remark and said his jibe against Modi ahead of the 2014 polls "changed the course of election". "Who had said Modiji, 'I will offer you a stall to sell tea'?...The Congress is again daring to insult the prime minister with 'tu chai bech' (go sell tea) meme," she said.
