The construction work is going on on Narayanpur-Orchha road in the Amdai region, around 350 kms away from the state capital. While the personnel were passing through a patch on the Amdai valley, the ultras detonated a powerful IED leaving constable Naresh Chaudhary injured, he said.
About 200 meter long electric wire was found from the spot which suggests that the blast was triggered from inside the jungle, he said. The injured was airlifted to Raipur for treatment, he said.
Meanwhile, a combing operation has been launched in the region to nab the attackers, the SP added.
