What's On tells you where to pick up Hot Cross Buns for Maundy Thursday and marzipan eggs for Easter
Delicate flowers, chirping birds and chicks sneek out of egg shells symbolising life, marking the arrival of Easter Sunday. The festivities are the culmination of a week of solemn services that celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Like the services, even the Hot Cross Buns and Easter eggs are a symbol of Jesus' life. While the former signifies the crucifixion and is usually eaten on Maundy Thursday, the latter celebrates new life.
